Growing Your Leadership

Five Dysfunctions of a Team Workshop for the Leadership Team

“Teamwork is the ultimate competitive advantage, because it is both so powerful and so rare. A high-functioning team can achieve its potential, resulting in a more productive organization.”
-Patrick Lencioni

Teams

Julia Hill-Nichols offers an intense two-day workshop utilizing the work of Patrick Lencioni. The program includes an individual MBTI Assessment as well as a Team Assessment. This is a powerful program that addresses the issues of Trust, Conflict, Commitment, Accountability and Results with the members of the team.

Whether your team is relatively new or has been in existence for ten years, you will walk away with a stronger team, clearer in what they need to do, more connected and committed to each other and re-energized. This isn’t ‘Kubaya’, this is the real thing!

Five Dysfunctions of a Team Workshop for Supervisors

“They’re different. They’re working together and seem to be enjoying it. We’re moving forward. What happened at the off-site?” This was a string of questions Julia was asked by a manager in the hallway of a company. Management had invested in the Five Dysfunctions of a Team Workshop for the Leadership Team 4 months earlier. The word investment is intentional. Investing the time, without interruption, was critical. What the manager and other managers were observing was the coming together of the leadership team. Another manager commented that the one downside was that they couldn’t play the managers off of each other. Oh well!

The  Five Dysfunctions of a Team Workshop for Supervisors is not the intense experience intended for the Leadership Team. What it provides is an introduction for managers and supervisors on the concepts of the Five Dysfunctions. Participants will be equipped with a number of tools to enhance the effectiveness of their own teams. The shared concepts and language create synergy between top leadership and front-line staff in the pursuit of greater commitment to the vision of the company, clarity in communications and personal accountability. A formidable combination.

Executive Playbook

Are you ready to roll up your sleeves, take off your blinders, and put aside your own press clippings?

Developing an Executive Playbook is a robust process facilitated with the leadership team of a company. Based on the work of Patrick Lencioni, the Playbook addresses the following six questions:

  • Why do we exist?
  • How do we behave?
  • What do we do?
  • How will we succeed?
  • What is most important, right now?
  • Who must do what?

Building a Playbook involves 2, 2-day sessions with the leadership team and a variety of action steps between the sessions.  A great deal of work, but imagine the value to you and your company when you have solid answers to these six questions!
